The 2003 Louisiana Cattle Festival Grand Parade was the largest in Cattle Festival History. The Louisiana State Police estimated the crowd of onlookers to be over 100,000. Not bad in a parish of only 60,000 people!
A good time was had by all as the over 200 unit parade winded down Charity and South State Streets. Some Folks arrived over six hours in advance to get a good viewing spot. BBQ pits were flaming and the sounds of revelry could be heard throughout the city as many heeded the call to tailgate. Plans are already in the works to make next years parade even better.
Please enjoy the sights of this years festivities.
