Anne Katherine Lene
2003 Louisiana Cattle Festival Ambassador

Anne Katherine graduated from the Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Couteau, attained a B.S. degree in Education with a concentration in English from Louisiana State University and attained a M.Ed. In Higher Education Administration with concentrations in Student Affairs and Policy from the University of New Orleans. She is currently serving as Director of Student Enrollment at Our lady of Holy Cross College, a small co-educational liberal arts college located in New Orleans.

Anne Katherine is a volunteer with the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the American Cancer Society. She is a member of Kappa Delta Epsilon Honors Society, Kappa Delta Pi Honors Society, and Phi Delta Kappa Honors Society. She held the title of Miss Louisiana USA 2002 and placed in the top 10 in the Miss USA Pageant in 2002.

Anne Katherine attended her first Cattle Festival when she was 2 weeks old and has only missed one festival in 26 years. She served as the Louisiana Cattle Festival Queen in 1996, representing the City of Abbeville. As Cattle Festival Queen, she won the title of Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals Queen of Queens in 1997. She served as Grand Parade Marshal for the 2002 Louisiana Cattle Festival Parade.
