Bob Moore 2010 Parade Grand Marshal |
| Bob Moore is from Erath, a
small French-speaking community just south of Lafayette. He grew up
speaking and understanding both English and French. Bob
graduated from Erath High School and the University of Southwestern
Louisiana with a degree in mass communications. He is also a
veteran of the United States Army where he acquired the rank of
Specialists. Bob began working at KLFY in 1995 after working at KROF radio in Abbeville and KANE in New Iberia. He is not only part of KLFY's weekday morning show, Passe Partout, but he now serves as host to the weekend morning editions of Passe Partout delivering news and weather in French. Bob also works as a Direct Hire Recruiter with Spherion Staffing Services. Bob is very active in the community. He has served as master of ceremonies in the past for the "Le Cajun" Music Awards at Blackham Coliseum, and in 2005, he was honored with "The Continuing Contribution to Cajun Music Award." Bob has also served as the Cotton King for the Ville Platte Cotton Festival in 2000 and served as president of the Lafayette Civitan Club for the 2000-2001 year. He was honored by the city of Erath in 2000 as their Ambassador for the Fourth of July celebration. Bob has participated in the Memory Walk for the Alzheimer's Association and has served as the Celebrity Chairperson. Bob is married to the former Tammy Pacetti of New Iberia. They have two children, Jude Michael and Jordan Francois. They live in the LeBlanc community, which is located between Lafayette and Erath. |
