Recently crowned Mrs. Louisiana America, Michelle Thompson Mudd will represent our state on September 7th of this year in the nationally televised "Mrs. America" competition that will be seen twice in prime time on the PAX Television Network.  (Broadcast dates have not been announced).  Michelle and her husband of seen years, Chad, are the proud parents of twin 2 1/2 year old daughters, Ava and Alivia.  These precocious little girls volunteer, alongside their mother, uplifting Louisiana's aging seniors with personal visitation through the Cameron Council on Aging and the Legion of Mary.  Michelle believes very strongly in serving as an advocate for the seniors of Louisiana through personal and proactive involvement in their lives.

Michelle is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she graduated with honors from the College of Arts and Sciences, earning a degree in Speech Communications, specializing in Public Relations.  Utilizing her degree, Michelle serves as an interview coach, emcee and pageant judge throughout the state.  As a young woman, she represented Cameron and Calcasieu parishes as Miss Cal-Cam Fair, in which capacity she captured the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals title, "Queen of Queens."  As Mrs. Louisiana, Michelle is thrilled with the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent the state she loves, while honoring two of her foremost priorities in life, her husband and her children.  She will continue to be a positive voice for the contemporary married women of our State, calling attention to the importance of faith, family, marriage, and the role that women play in these and many other worthwhile pursuits of excellence.
