Neal Horaist

Neal Horaist has been involved with the festival since 1987. He served as a board member for one year and became Vice-President in 1989. He was elected President in 1990 and held that position through 2001. He has held the office of Vice-President since that time.

Neal works in all aspects of the festival and considers one of his greatest honors the fact that he was serving as President when the festival received the LAFF Festival of the Year Award in 1999. He is presently serving as Entertainment Chairman and the Family Fun Day Chairman.

Neal served as President of the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals in 1997, after having served as Vice-President/Convention Chairman the year before. He is presently serving as an Associate Supplier Director for LAFF and is the Trade Show Chairman for the LAFF Convention.

Neal’s proudest moment was when he received his gold medallion and became a member of the elite and prestigious "Past Presidents Club." Neal and Barbara were inducted into the LAFF Hall of fame in the late 1990's. He is presently a manager for Willoughby Trucking Company.
